The AR sky view isn't tracking correctly.
The AR view needs both location and motion access. Make sure ASTRA has permission for these in your device settings. It also helps to calibrate your phone's compass by moving it in a gentle figure-eight motion, away from magnets or metal.
Why does ASTRA need my location?
The sky looks different from every point on Earth. ASTRA uses your location to calculate exactly which stars, planets, and satellites are above you right now. Your location stays on your device — see our Privacy Policy.
The AI stopped answering my questions.
ASTRA's AI companion has a daily question limit to keep it fast and available for everyone. If you reach it, the counter resets the next day and you can keep exploring.
Is ASTRA available on Android?
ASTRA is launching first on iOS. An Android version is planned — follow along for updates on when it arrives.
Do I need an internet connection?
Core sky-mapping works offline once the app has your location. Live features — satellite tracking, space weather, NASA imagery, and the AI companion — need an internet connection to fetch fresh data.
